HOSTED EXPERIMENT · REAL-TIME STRATEGY

One civilization.
Three different beginnings.

Build a settlement, scout the frontier and decide how to survive your neighbours. Change a small, visible scenario recipe—not the creator’s credit.

Clanfire Commons Scenarios is an experimental procedural-only remix of Clanfire by Rob Carpenter. Original and adaptation: MIT. No endorsement implied.

Same-tab browser game · desktop pointer recommended · no account or cloud saves. Local storage stays in this browser. Not a finished or quality-accepted release.

Offline-edition correction: The in-game Guide still mentions a leaderboard. This edition has no online leaderboard or score submission; finishing a match does not publish a score.

Choose the pressure. Keep the whole game.

Open Frontier

A generous valley with 150% finite deposits and calm rival pressure. Establish food and wood before choosing your next step.

High Passes

Mountain passes, an active rival and 60% deposits. Scout carefully and protect the workers who keep you alive.

Island Exchange

A large island world, standard deposits and an active rival. Explore the shoreline before committing your army.

In Scenario Workshop, review the seed, map size, rival pressure and resource stock percentage before starting. Stock changes apply to both sides; original costs, unit strength and starting resources remain unchanged.

A recipe you can actually pass on.

  1. Choose a preset or edit the five bounded recipe fields.
  2. Use Export recipe to download the plain JSON recipe.
  3. To try one, paste its JSON, choose Review pasted recipe, read the summary, then explicitly start.

No code, URLs or extra fields are accepted. Keep private information out of seeds. A recipe is not saved progress, a published community game, or a cross-game mashup. Save progress separately through Pause → Settings → Saves; local slots and Continue disappear if browser data is cleared.

Recipe file export and pasted review are available; shareable URL recipes and community publication are not implemented. No file-upload test is required to play.

Export a recipe, paste its five fields into the review page, and explain your change and actual tests. Inspect the pinned base, credits and exact brief before explicitly sending. No hosting account or full-game upload needed; this does not publish or approve a recipe.

What has actually been played?

Bounded hands-on check · 29 October 2026. The frozen candidate was exercised through gathering, building, training, scenario launch, grouping and scouting, defender loss, concession defeat, replay, and local save/reload with recipe retention. Foreground timing was approximately 60Hz; background throttling was not treated as a pacing defect.

Test limits and release evidence

No full victory, AI-forced terminal defeat, full campaign/balance, mobile or comprehensive accessibility acceptance. The earlier first-run modal race was source-tested, not observed in that already-used browser profile. One Chromium error9 recovered; its cause is unknown. The hosted storage namespace is a separate reviewed integration delta, not identical bytes to the earlier candidate.

Prior source/dependency scans and reviewed changes are recorded; a killed final archive antivirus scan is not a pass. No malware-free or stability certification is claimed.

Exact release, hashes and evidence

The source is part of the game.

Complete editable HTML/JavaScript, procedural Canvas/SVG art and synthesized WebAudio. No dependency installation, build step, account or service credentials. Optional upstream raster art, font binaries, Supabase and online submission services are omitted.

Parent: Rob Carpenter’s pinned Clanfire source. Games4Free supplies the offline adapter, scenario workshop and namespaced local storage. Preserve the parent, notices and test results when changing it.
